Cameron Station in the west end of Alexandria used to be a military base and when it closed in 1995 the transformation of the 96 acre site began. The neighborhood was designed with an old fashioned American small town feel and 18th/19th century style architecture. The brick sidewalks and pocket parks add to the charm of the neighborhood.

Known for its prime location and charming atmosphere the neighborhood is highly sought after and has an old town ambiance. On the west side of the neighborhood is Armistead Booth Park and it also has athletic fiends, a playground and tennis courts.
 


What’s Nearby Cameron Station?
The neighborhood has multiple shops including a café, small market, and dry cleaners. A free shuttle transports residents to Van Dorn metro station (blue line) during morning and evening rush hour. More information about the shuttle can be found on the community website.

King Street and Eisenhower Avenue metro stations are within minutes of Cameron Station. The neighborhood is within walking distance to two grocery stores, Harris Teeter and ALDI. Old Town Alexandria is less than 10 minutes away by car and home to unique shopping, exceptional dining, and the beautiful waterfront.

Residents in Cameron Station can walk over to Ben Brenman Park on Sunday’s to enjoy the West End Farmers Market from May to November. The market is open from 8:30am to 1:00pm. This pet friendly market features seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and lemonade, baked goods, handmade jewelry and art.
